Creating a modular topic environment in Skribenta

After installing and deploying Skribenta, follow these main steps to create technical documentation.

  1. Create a workspace, a publication and a content XML file. Content is organized into workspaces, publications and files.

  2. Build content structures and write text and insert images in the content file.

  3. Reuse content across content files with include files or variables. Variables for reuse must be declared in a publication configuration file.

  4. Publish the publication in a selected format.

  5. After the publication has been approved for distribution to the end user, it is possible to check in all publication files so that the exact same content may be republished later on.
