About Skribenta

Skribenta is a Component Content Management System (CCMS) used by technical communicators to create, collaborate, version manage, single-source, review, translate and publish technical documentation.

Skribenta's possibilities

As Skribenta is designed for the requirements of demanding industries, it makes it possible to manage large amounts of documentation with minimum effort and maximum quality.

Logging in and selecting a workspace

You need to log in to work in Skribenta. You can select another workspace than the current, if you are a member of several workspaces.

In this chapter, you'll find guidance on creating files and folders within a workspace. Additionally, it covers viewing files properties, and the processes of downloading and uploading files.

Creating folders and files

You create content files, configuration files and image files in folders in a workspace.

Modifying and deleting folders and files

Downloading and uploading folders and files

In this chapter, you'll discover instructions on creating and editing content within a file. It also covers checking spelling and conducting searches.

Creating front- and endmatter

Content, such as the name of the manual, company logo etc., presented on the front and back covers are placed in the front- and endmatter parts of a content file.

Creating paragraphs and inline content

A major parts of your content consist of paragraphs. You can add various inline elements, such as bold, italic etc., in a paragraph.

Modifying and deleting content

This section contains instructions on how to modify and delete XML content in a content and configuration file. Besides modifying, copying, deleting, cutting and pasting content, you can hide, sort, number and transform content.
