Deleting a publication or a publication group

Background

Starting point

The procedure in this topic assumes Skribenta is installed and configured for normal operation, and:

You have logged into Skribenta.
You are assigned to one of the following user roles: content provider, technical writer or administrator.
You have selected the workspace you want to work in.
You have created a publication.
You have created a publication group.

Your need

You might want to remove unnecessary publications and publication groups.

The possibility

It is possible to delete publications and publication groups.

Overall steps

Browse to a publications or publication group (resource) and select it, then do a delete operation on the resource.

Time

Less than 1 minute

1. Make sure that the step(s) in section "Starting point" (see section "Background" above) are performed.

2. On the Aspect toolbar, click Publications.

The Publications view opens.

3. In the Publications view, browse to the publication or publication group (resource) that you want to delete.

4. Do one of these two alternatives:

A Confirm dialog box opens.

5. Click OK.

The resource is deleted.

When deleting a publication, the corresponding content file and configuration file are not deleted.

Alternative procedure: Deleting multiple publications or publication groups

1. Make sure that the step(s) in section "Starting point" (see section "Background" above) are performed.

2. On the Aspect toolbar, click Publications.

The Publications view opens.

3. In the Publications view, browse to the publications or publication groups (resources) that you want to delete.

4. Select multiple adjacent resources by holding down Shift while clicking the first and last resource or pressing an arrow key.

5. Do one of these two alternatives:

Press Delete or Backspace,

Or
Right-click the selection.

A File selection toolbar opens.

1. On the File selection, click Delete.

A Confirm dialog box opens.

6. Click OK.

The resources are deleted.

When deleting a publication, the corresponding content file and configuration file are not deleted.
