Starting point

The procedure in this topic assumes Skribenta is installed and configured for normal operation, and:

You have logged into Skribenta.
You are assigned to one of the following user roles: content provider, technical writer or administrator.
You have selected the workspace you want to work in.
A folder is created in the workspace.
The folder has been checked in to create a version to compare.

You want to compare the content of two folder versions.

Browse to the folder, then compare two folder versions.

Procedure

1. Make sure that the step(s) in section "Starting point" (see section "Background" above) are performed.

2. Browse to your folder in the Workspace view.

3. Right-click the folder.

A pop-up list opens.

4. In the pop-up list, select the folder icon.

The Folder toolbar opens.

5. On the Folder toolbar, click Versions > Compare.

A list of folder versions is displayed.

6. In the list of folder versions, select a folder version.

The selected folder version is compared with the previous version. Updated resources in the folder are displayed.

7. To examine the differences in an updated file in the folder, select the file.

New and deleted content, compared to the previous version, are highlighted in green and red, respectively.

If there are no differences between the file versions, a message is displayed.
